| We have the power to make this the best generation of mankind in the history of the world - or to make it the last. (John F. Kennedy) | ||

I don't think I ask much of the future. Formerly, I just wanted to have a
girl friend. After two pretty long relationships with the last one being
nearly six years, I'm on my own again.
Which is definitely a good thing.
New love will come, I'm sure about that. Until then, I will be enjoying my life! Time has told me, that no magic will cause anything to prevail for eternity. And I doubt that relationsships are even magical. But there is no reason why one should think too much about this because there is no way to prevent it. The only thing you can do is to enjoy the time as much as possible. Who cares about tomorrow? What I did learn in the last few years: There's always the next day to do things better, but you got to start today and not tomorrow. Don't plan your stuff too much into the future, because although time will catch up, you might get caught by surprise anyway. So take a little step each time a day, and all of a sudden, you might be on the top of the mountain. |
| The future is not a result of choices among alternative paths offered by the present, but a place that is created -- created first in the mind and will, created next in activity. The future is not some place we are going to, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made, and the activity of making them, changes both the maker and the destination. (John Schaar, futurist) | ||
| I've finished my studies at the TU München. And have worked for more than five years in the "professional world". I've got the feeling that 2009 will bring lots of changes, by one kind or the other. It has already, and most of them for the better. |

| We are made wise not by the recollection of our past, but by the responsibility for our future. (George Bernard Shaw) | ||

My dream, however, is to found a computer (products/software/hardware?)
firm and get extremely rich :-) I'd also like to go into science research and invent lots of stunning things, but so far, my only invention is a HAM6-fading routine :) and in 1999 I invented the Infinite Oversampling Mixing Mode for my Deli14Bit Genie which allows the mixing of samples as if they were not mixed at all... I wanted to have children (two should be enough) before I'm 30. Now that I'm 32, this hasn't happend, mostly because I believed the lies of my ex-girl friend far too long. I should have quit earlier, but that's easy in retrospect. A good friend of mine (Mathias Götz) once said that the future lies behind us and not the past and that we're walking backwards. Sounds strange? It isn't: You can't see the future, can you? But you see/know the past. So you're facing the past and are going backwards. I think this is one of the best metaphors he has ever made. |
| Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. (John F. Kennedy) | ||
| This space is reserved for future use. Haha. How funny... NOT! |
| Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present. (Marcus Aurelius Antoninus) | ||

Ah. One thing I can tell you about the future: If computer of the future is
a Wintel PC, the future looks very grim. I stuck to my Amiga as long as I could. Now it's time to move on. Or do something else. Or invent a time machine. Or become a writer. Or a philosopher. Or drug addicted. Or die of loneliness. Or whatever. Anything is better than having to use a PC! (Well, I do now have a PC eventually. I still get pissed off by it quite often, and I haven't lost my ideals. However, the thing is, I have stopped fighting things I cannot change.) |

| Don't worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 p.m. on some idle Tuesday. (Mary Schmich, "Sunscreen Song") | ||
| I'm running out of inspiration for this page. But it probably will be extended in near future. At least you can already read and enjoy the quotes. |
| As long as we have some definite idea about or some hope in the future, we cannot really be serious with the moment that exists right now. (Suzuki Roshi) | ||
